Cake Smash Session/ Jacksonville Child Portrait Photographer

This cake smash session was so much fun. This was photographed in the baby’s home. I am always impressed with the amount of thought and effort that goes into a photosession. The mother made the banner, hat, cake (such talent), bow and had chosen a darling outfit for her daughter. This little lady isn’t even the first–but the third little girl in the family. I love making birthdays special and hope I do such a great job on my third child.

This gorgeous little girl was so much fun to watch while playing/eating her cake. I think my favorite part of a toddler is their chubby adorable little hands. I love watching those hands work and figure out what they want. As with all cake smash sessions she got messy, made a mess and thoroughly enjoyed it. 1--CakeSmash 2--Cake-Smash

Lubbock Arboretum: Family Session

This family session was photographed at the Lubbock Arboretum. We were lucky to get some beautiful fall colors to photograph and play in. A week after this photo-session it snowed and was absolutely freezing. You might remember this mother from herĀ maternity session and that sweet little babe (now three months!) in her newborn session. Wow, babies change so fast that first year.

I loved getting the kids to play in this session. Kids are so honest. They really can’t give you a great smile unless they are having fun. While I try to be fun to play with, I notice that the kids got the biggest smile when their parents were playing with them. Throwing leaves, running around the park and being carefree were how we got some genuine smiles. The last photo with the dad and daughter pretty much melted my heart. I absolutely love daddy daughter photos.
